FTP: Deliveries and Volunteering
Reduce Food Waste and Support Food Pantries
1
Decreasing Leftovers
Many restaurants and establishments have high quality leftovers at the end of the day that they would throw away without thinking of it. Our goal is to stop these restaurants from discarding the food and actually deliver it to people in need.
2
Supporting Pantries and Community Fridges
The otherwise discarded food is taken from the restaurants and delivered to different pantries and fridges throughout New York City so that is available to people in need. In addition, with our passionate volunteer force, we hold packaging events at pantries and meal/sandwich-making events. Join us as a volunteer!
3
Create Your Own Chapter!
Start an FTP chapter at your school or business to help reduce food waste and support your community. Schools can organize teams to collect leftover food and deliver it to those in need, fostering community spirit and social responsibility. Businesses can donate surplus food to local pantries and community fridges, playing a vital role in addressing food insecurity. Join us in making a difference by creating your own FTP chapter today!
